I am inquiring if you still need workers for the Eagles Nest Hill Climb. My husband and I are interested. We are both SCCA members, road rallyist, and worked Wolf Ridge last year.
Thanks. bedwardstt@verizon.net

I noticed that someone driving a Ford Mustang entered in CP Class. Think he is confused with AX Classes..

Yes, that is a problem with the system on My Auto Events. I advise all entrants to read the event supplementals or the SEDiv/SCCA Time Trial class listings before entering. The only Solo classes in TT are Street Prepared and Street Mod 1/2.

What type of changes can we expect this year at the Event? Same starting line?
Is the pit area bigger, or will we be sharing it again with the wipe and shine guys? Any update info appreciated…

The plan is to grid line the paddock area with cars pitted around the outer circle in measured and marked areas. The large enclosed trailers will be placed in the center diagonal to a line drawn thru the center of the field. There will be a traffic circle around the rigs in the center. Other area arrangements are to be made for the show cars.

Hey Sheila! You did great at Wolf… in the rain is no place to start but… you handled it very well! The one thing I was told which has helped me a lot was knowing the course. The more you watch films and drive the course, the more you have it in your head so you know what to expect. In autocross, you are always told to look further ahead. It’s hard to do that in hillclimb so it is essential to look as far ahead as you can AS YOU CAN. The more comfortable you become in learning the course and know what’s around the corner, the faster you can go comfortably.
The other big one from me is try to improve a little bit on time each run BUT start off slow. If you speed up a little each run, you will build up to a comfortable speed and rhythm with which you can run and make your best time without endangering yourself or your car. If you go every run all out, you will cross that line eventually. Shoot for every run dropping a second or two and you will find yourself improving at perfect rate. And relax and enjoy it! I always smile ear to ear right before I launch… good reminder that this is what I have been waiting for since the last hillclimb! Hope that helps some.
