As a member of the Central Carolinas Region, Sports Car Club of America since 1976, I have been fortunate to be able to have involvement and the pleasure of competing in all the venues offered by CCR. As a new member, in my initial years of membership, I became a Club Racing worker and saw a first rate team of Race staff in action and learned a lot about what can be done with the help of involved membership. Autocross was my primary interest at the time, but after hundreds of Solo II (now SOLO) events, wanted more excitement  and stepped up my participation level. As Solo chair, I conducted the first CCR 24 hour Autocross which has continued until today. During the early 1980s, I chaired the first CCR Flat Track SOLO I (Track Trial) and during that time period several SEDiv Solo championships.
Over the years, as time allowed while raising my two sons Geoffrey and Corey, along with honoring my military commitments, my wife Lisa and I have enjoyed the Social activities and comradery of club events and that I believe is what makes this club special. After completing my college programs and leaving the parties and social activities behind, I realized that there should be more to my life than the outlook of just the daily work routine. That’s what CCR can offer with the right mix of hobby racing pursuit and just “hanging out” with friends.
My reason for running for re-election for the CCR BOD, is driven by an interest in maximizing the potential of all the club’s automotive
competition activities while ensuring that the financial condition of the region is healthy.
