My first involvement with CCR-SCCA came in 1980. My wife Chris and I started Auto crossing.  It was not long before we became very involved in the Solo 2 program.  I spent a couple of years as chief of tech, work tech for the club races and event set up and ran a few autocrosses.  My other duty was the club photographer in the early to late 80’s.  We stayed active in the club working tech until the early 90’s.  Chris and I won many CCR autocross titles in the early 80’s, and even ran the Chimney Rock Hillclimb in my RX-7.  Along came the children and funds for Solo 1 and 2 were allocated elsewhere.

About 5 years ago I came back the SCCA by crewing for a friend in Spec Miata.  This led to my getting my competition license, which I don’t get to use as much as I like.  I ran the first year of the Time Trial Program and came away with the SSB Title in a Miata.  I now spend many club weekend taking pictures for the website and myself.  I am responsible for the photo trophies that are awarded to the Hillclimb Class Winners.

I believe that with my past and current experience with this club I will be a valuable asset to the Board.  I am familiar with Solo 2, Time Trials, and Club Racing.  I have worked all aspects of these events and understand what is required.

I currently live in Hickory, NC with my wife Chris and my Daughter Jessica our 6 Jack Russell’s, American Hairless Terrier, Border Terrier and Mutt.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
