Selecting a Class Definition File

It is important to select a default class definition file.  Once a file is selected it will be used as the default for creating additional Events and/or Membership Files.

Select the Class Definitions option in the Setup Menu to select, view or modify the Class Definition file.

Note: if a class definition file is not loaded, a default internal set of class definitions will be used, based on 2001 SCCA classes. (If you are using a NCCC version the internal set of class is also based on 2001 NCCC classes)

Modifying the Class Definitions:

In the Class Definitions dialog select the appropriate class definition file (*.def) using the Browse button.  One a file is selected you can carry out edits to the listed classes, adding new ones or deleting classes that are no longer required.

To create pax classes, enter a single letter character (prefix) with a pax factor = 0.0.  Pax classes can be created using the prefix and any other defined class.

Once you are finished with the modifications, use the Class Control menu to save that file or click OK, which automatically saves the definitions to the active Class Definition File.

Note: the order of the classes in the table will dictate the order sort order of the classes on the final reports as well as on the Class Tree Views that appear to the right, on the main screen of the program.

The Class Control menu provides print and additional file control functions.  You can use the File Save As function to save the data to a different file name.
