Hill ClimbHill Climb
It’s UP to you where you go
Did you know that your road racing vehicle likes to get away from the track sometimes? We did. That’s why SCCA made hill climbs the fourth
and top level of the Time Trials program. There are no more fences and no more grandstands. Full safety gear is mandatory as it’s just you, your car and a mountain road. Hill Climb events are run on paved mountain roads over short distances, and in the true spirit of racing, fast time wins.

It’s the Second Annual Wolf Ridge Hill Climb! North of Asheville, NC and just minutes off I-26 Wolf Ridge will challenge the most seasoned hill climbers and racers. It will take preparation, nerves of steel and a bit of luck to master this hill. You will get a chance to show off your driving skills as spectators have the chance to watch one of the most “on the edge” driving competitions in North America.

Cool nights, warm days and hot cars all come together at The Lodges at Eagles Nest for the 2nd Rock ’N Road Hill Climb. Your talent be tested as you rocket down hill then back up at the soon-to-be legendary Stone Wall Corner. Scenic vistas, great music and relaxed atmosphere make this an event you’ll want to do for years to come…so start planning NOW!
We concluded negotiations with Eagle’s Nest on June 21. Unfortunately, the financial situation there requires them to rent out the meadow and road at a price higher than CCR, as a nonprofit and with limited sponsorship, can afford. We have officially pulled this event from the SEDIV TT schedule for 2011. We are leaving Eagle’s Nest with a good relationship and we hope we can return one day.
While this event has been cancelled, CCR is still planning to run a points paying hillclimb event before the end of the year.
Stay tuned! Thanks for your support… as drivers and event staff and courseworkers… all of us working together is making this sport grow. Great job!
