The best race tracks in the country are waiting for you to challenge them. Getting started in SCCA
Club Racing isn’t as hard as you think. The SCCA stages more than 300 Club Racing events each year for people just like you. Whether you want to be World Champion or just crave the wheel-to-wheel racing experience, it’s time for you to get started.
Hit the track at an SCCA drivers’ school, then experience the excitement of Regional racing, step up to National-level competition and strive for the pinnacle of amateur motorsports, the annual SCCA National Championship Runoffs.
CCR would like to thank Race Engineering for their support of CCR’s Road Race program.

The Central Carolinas Region is proud to offer a new program designed to help novice time trial drivers and road racers get started. We realize getting started in racing is expensive and we’d like to help. Through the SECOND GEAR program, we have collected an inventory of used racing gear that was donated by drivers in the southeastern racing community for your use. This gear is being offered at no charge for competition in specific SCCA SEDIV events. We have a variety of sizes in drivers suits, gloves, and shoes which will allow you to put your money in other areas so you can make your first racing experiences affordable.
Visit the Second Gear web page for full information!
The GT World Challenge Series was won this year by Brandon Davis, driving a Mustang Cobra designed and engineered by Chris Willes. Chris also won the Zimmerman Trophy for Crew Chief of the year.
Jack Willes is also on the team as crew member and transport driver.
The Willes family joined CC-SCCA in 1959!
