History of Hillclimbs
Hillclimbs in the south have a long history.
Chimney Rock in Rutherford County, NC played host to hillclimbs from 1956 to
1995.
Beech Mountain hosted hillclimbs from 1996 - 2001. After Beech, the Blue Ridge Hillclimb in Sparta, NC was run from 2003 - 2006.
In 2007 the Wolf Ridge Hillclimb was run on May 19 and 20.
