CCR Solo 2 Rules

Item in black amended 7/11/2002 for ease in tabulating points.

Annual Series Trophies:
To be eligible for a year-end trophy, a driver must compete in more than half of the autocrosses in the season. These events may be in more than one class. You are only eligible for trophies in the class you complete most events in. Ties decided by points total for class. In all classes the driver must be a CCR member at the end of the season to receive a trophy. 9 points will be awarded for a class win, 6 points for second, 4 for 3rd, 3 for 4th, 2 for 5th, and 1 point for all other drivers in the class. All SCCA open classes will be recognized with the exception of F125. (Cars meeting F125 rules will be classified in AM.) Supplemental classes are listed below.

Car Classes:
You are responsible for classing your car correctly. Please read the rulebook, ask your competitors, or see this link if you don't know your car class.

You may not arbitrarily move your car into another class.

Any class which has 1 car competing at an event will be 'bumped' to the next class according to SCCA guidelines. CCR Series trophy points will be awarded based on the actual car classification, not the bumped class.

Categories:
OPEN - SCCA classifications without index.

LADIES - All ladies. Trophies given by RTP index. Ladies may choose to run in OPEN.

NOVICE - All first-season autocrossers. Trophies given based on RTP index. Anyone who has won NOVICE must run in OPEN or Ladies at all future events.

Note that Ladies may run in the NOVICE class if they meet the normal Novice requirements. (there’s no separate Novice Ladies Class)

Supplemental Classes:
Street Touring X: O
ffered
Street Modified: Offered
Kart:
Adult-driven Shifter Karts will be classified as A-MOD. Championship series points will be awarded according to this class.

Adult-driven 5HP Karts will be classified as F-Mod. Championship series points will be awarded according to this class.

Junior-driven 5HP Karts will be classified as JK and will accumulate Championship points in JK.

KART supplemental rules:

  • Only the kart on course and next two karts waiting to start may have their engines running. Other karts waiting to compete must NOT be started.
  • Only two drivers are allowed to share a single kart, regardless of class.
  • All karts should be fitted with a bicycle-type red flag on an antennae.
  • All karts should have protective heat-proof material covering exhaust pipes.

The Event Chairman reserves the right to limit the total number of kart entries. This limit may be applied on the day of the event. Priority will be given to Junior Karters. The limit will not be applied for less than 9 kart entrants.
